My Blind Date With Life

German drama directed by Marc Rothemund. The film follows Saliya Kahawatte (Kostja Ullmann), a promising student determined to achieve his dream of working at a prestigious luxury hotel despite losing the majority of his sight as a teenager. Deciding to hide the fact he is visually impaired, Saliya manages to land an apprenticeship at one of Munich's top hotels and quickly becomes a respected member of the team. However, after meeting and falling in love with Laura (Anna Maria Mühe), Saliya's elaborate scheme to hide his condition soon begins to fall apart. The cast also includes Ludger Pistor, Nilam Farooq and Jacob Matschenz.
