A factory worker is determined to break a vicious cycle of despair and self-destruction in the third feature of Scottish writer-director Scott Graham. Finnie (Mark Stanley) misspent his youth in Fraserburgh as a boy racer, burning asphalt down by the docks in the belief that he would leave the port town in his rear-view mirror. Now 36, Finnie still lives in Fraserburgh with his childhood sweetheart Katie (Amy Manson) and their two sons. Eldest boy Kid (Anders Hayward) seems destined to repeat the sins of the past. He is racing cars at night with his friends and has a pregnant girlfriend called Kelly (Marli Siu) to support. Tensions come to a head over the family dinner table and Finnie instinctively grabs a set of car keys and heads into the night with Katie in the passenger seat.
