In Search of Chopin
To coincide with Fryderyk Chopin's birthday on March 1, director Phil Grabsky's celebrated documentary returns to selected cinemas for a limited time. Narrated by Juliet Stevenson, the film is the result of four years of painstaking, globe-trotting research into the music and life story of the Warsaw-born composer. This rich history includes expert insight from expert Jeremy Siepmann and performances of Chopin's work by pianists Leif Ove Andsnes, Daniel Barenboim, Ronald Brautigam, Kevin Kenner and Lars Vogt. Excerpts from the composer's correspondence are vividly brought to life by actor David Dawson.
