Killers Anonymous
Rival assassins share stories of their first kills in director Martin Owen's tense thriller. In present-day London, hitwoman Jade (Jessica Alba) is murdered in a strip club. Her demise coincides with the death of US senator Kyle (Sam Hazeldine) and a sizeable bounty on the head of the person who pulled the trigger. Many of the prime suspects are subsequently called to the inaugural meeting of Killers Anonymous, an emotional support group led by Joanna (MyAnna Buring) to help trained killers cope with the psychological stresses of taking lives. Attendees include The Man (Gary Oldman), Leandro (Michael Socha) and Markus (Tommy Flanagan), many of whom are deeply suspicious about the timing of the meeting. As participants unburden their blackened souls, suspicion runs rife, heightening the possibility that someone in the room will choose to communicate through carefully targetted violence.
