Okko's Inn

Director Kitaro Kosaka, who was a key animator at Studio Ghibli, helms a touching hand-drawn animated drama based on the series of novels penned by Hiroko Reijo. On her way home from attending a festival with her parents, Okko (voiced by Madigan Kacmar) is involved in a terrible accident. She is the sole survivor and the girl moves to the countryside to live with her grandmother Mineko (Glynis Ellis), who runs the Hananoyu Inn. The establishment is situated close to an ancient spring, which reportedly has healing powers. More remarkably, the area is home to friendly ghosts that only Okko can see. One of these spirits, Uribo (KJ Aikens), is a boy who used to be a friend of Mineko when she was much younger. He compels Okko to learn how to run her grandmother's inn and in the process of carrying out duties, Okko rings a bell which releases a demon called Suzuki (Colleen O'Shaughnessey).
