In 2014, Nadia Murad survived the genocide of the Yazidis in northern Iraq and became a beacon of courage and hope to many in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). She campaigns vigorously to bring charges of genocide and crimes against humanity against ISIS before the International Criminal Court. As a prominent human rights activist, Murad takes meetings with top government officials and gives testimony before the United Nations. She is also a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Alexandria Bombach's documentary follows Murad as she continues to fight and speak out for justice.
