Expanded from a short film and shot on black and white super 16mm film, writer-director Yen Tan's intimate drama explores a pivotal moment in one young man's life during the early years of the Aids crisis. Advertising executive Adrian (Cory Michael Smith) hasn't been home to Texas to visit his Christian parents Dale (Michael Chiklis) and Eileen (Virginia Madsen) for three years. He claims that work has been keeping him busy as he clambers up the corporate ladder. Dale and Eileen are unaware that Adrian is gay and he hides his sexuality from them and younger brother Andrew (Aidan Langford). As tensions resurface during the Christmas holidays, Adrian seeks to bury ghosts of the past by reconnecting with estranged childhood friend Carly (Jamie Chung).
