Mug (Twarz)
Heavy metal fan Jacek (Mateusz Kosciukiewicz) lives at home with his family and is dating a local girl, Dagmara (Malgorzata Gorol), who likes to party. Their romance goes from strength to strength and the couple gets engaged. Then disaster strikes. Jacek takes a tumble on a construction site of a gargantuan statue of Jesus and is badly injured. He is rushed into hospital where surgeons have to perform a face transplant to save Jacek. He emerges unrecognisable to loved ones and himself. His sister (Agnieszka Podsiadlik), who is trapped in an unhappy marriage to her selfish husband (Robert Talarczyk), proudly stands by Jacek during his rehabilitation but other friends and neighbours turn their backs on him.
