Kler (Clergy)
Wojciech Smarzowski directs a controversial drama, which has broken box office records in Poland, which centres on a group of holy men who are bound by sin, corruption and depravity. Trybus (Robert Wieckiewicz) is a pastor in a rural community, who is embroiled in an affair with a parishioner, Hanka (Joanna Kulig). Desires of the flesh control Trybus and he is powerless to resist. Meanwhile, fellow Catholic priests Lisowski (Jacek Braciak) and Kukule (Arkadiusz Jakubik) face severe tests to their faith and one of the men is accused of heinous crimes by their flock. They look to Archbishop Mordowicz (Janusz Gajos) for guidance but he exploits his political influence for personal gain and comfort.
