Bad Samaritan
One day after its premiere at FrightFest, director Dean Devlin's home invasion thriller screens at selected cinemas and is simultaneously available on demand. Struggling photographer Sean Falco (Robert Sheehan) and his pal Derek (Carlito Olivero) have a novel - and highly illegal - way of making money by exploiting their roles as valets at a swanky restaurant in Portland, Oregon. The buddies decide to burgle obscenely wealthy and arrogant socialite Cale Erendreich (David Tennant) but when they break in, they are greeted by the shocking sight of a terrified young woman (Kerry Condon) chained up in the mansion. Despite his best efforts to free the woman, Sean admits defeat and he reports his disturbing find to the local police. By the time the cops turn up at Cale's home, the mystery woman is nowhere to be seen and the police strongly advise Sean to stop harassing the homeowner.
