More than 50 years after the death of actress Jane Mansfield in a car crash, filmmakers P David Ebersole and Todd Hughes sift through the rumours and speculation to make sense of the starlet's topsy-turvy life. The directors focus on the final two years when Mansfield was romantically involved with her attorney Sam Brody and took a highly publicised meeting with Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan. Employing a mosaic of film styles and sources including archive footage, Mansfield 66/67 features contributions from author Kenneth Anger, actress Tippi Hedren and director John Waters.
