12 Chairs
Two men from very different backgrounds become embroiled in a madcap treasure hunt in director Algis Ramanauskas' Lithuanian comic caper, which is co-written by Justas Mamontovas. Former KGB officer Kysa (Julius Zalakevicius) learns that his mother-in-law has hidden priceless treasures in one of 12 chairs. This precious loot is tantalisingly out of reach so Kysa joins forces with an opportunist called Benderis (Mantas Stonkus) to track down the bounty, which takes the two men to Vilnius and back, encountering colourful characters along the way. Dalius Skamarakas, Natalija Janichkina and Vaida Lisikaite co-star.
