The Snowman and the Snowdog
A seasonal rerelease of the award-winning animation inspired by Raymond Briggs' picture book The Snowman, which original screened on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve in 2012. Billy and his mother move into their new home with a beloved pet dog. The animal dies soon after and the family buries the pet in the back garden. As winter approaches, Billy makes a surprising discovery beneath some floorboards: his home used to belong to a boy called James, who enjoyed a magical relationship with a snowman. Billy excitedly builds his own snowman and adds a snowdog to the tableau as a tribute to his departed pet. That night, the snowman and the frozen pooch miraculously come to life and shepherd Billy on a grand airborne adventure.
