A Nightmare on Elm Street
"One, two, Freddie's coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door...". One of modern cinema's great boogiemen, Freddie Krueger (Robert Englund), sharpens his knives for Halloween, preparing to stalk cinemas nationwide for one night only in this re-issue of Wes Craven's 1984 slasher. Teenagers in the Ohio town of Springwood begin to experience the same terrifying figure in their dreams: a hideously disfigured man called Freddie with a striped jumper and razor-sharp knives for fingers. Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) is terrorised by this phantom but manages to escape by staying awake while many of her classmates and friends perish. As sleep deprivation takes its toll, Nancy is forced to confront Freddie in the realm of nightmares, where he is the undisputed king.
