Winter in La Cienaga and the run-down Hotel Termas is full of otorhinolaryngologists - ear, nose and throat specialists - for a conference. Amalia, whose family owns the hotel, is shocked when one of the doctors at the conference, Dr Jano, presses himself sexually against her in a crowd.
