Faced with a long and boring summer holiday, 16-year-old Mona goes looking for adventure in her village and she strikes up an instant friendship with rebellious rich girl Tamsin. The two girls become inseparable, their feelings tinged with sexual longing, which sends Mona's born-again ex-con brother Phil into a frenzy of righteous Bible-bashing.
