Twelve-year-old dimple-cheeked Miguel Rivera yearns to be a musician like his hero, Ernesto de la Cruz. To this end, on Dia de los Muertos - the Day of the Dead - Miguel "borrows" his idol's guitar to perform at the village talent show and he is magically transported to the Land of the Dead.
