Bolton Steam Museum

Bolton Steam Museum,Bolton Information
Volunteers from the Northern Mill Engine Society have rescued and lovingly restored 27 old stationary steam engines - some of the engines which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the north of England. Most will be running in steam on our regular Steaming Days. We have a wide range of different types of steam engine; the oldest is now over 170 years old! Some engines are now unique - the only engine of its type left anywhere in the world! Come and see these magnificent monsters in action once again, on a Steaming Day
