BT Murrayfield Stadium

BT Murrayfield Stadium,Edinburgh Information
Murrayfield is an all-seated, all-covered stadium, the product of an ambitious redevelopment program which took twleve years to complete at a cost of almost £50 million. The terracing on the east side of the stadium was bulldozed in 1982 to make way for the 10,700-seat East stand. Terracing on the North and South stands remained until 1990 when new safety regulations demanded an all-seater stadium. The new North and South stands, with a combined capacity of 24,000, opened in 1993 and a new West stand followed it two years later. Improvements were carried out to the press and corporate facilties area, a floodlighting system was installed, and new electronic scoreboards were established at the north and south ends Please note: For Edinburgh matches only the West Stand is open.
