Erewash Mental Health Association Ltd Breakthru Day Centre
We are a charitable organisation and Limited Company by guarantee who run two Day Centres for people experiencing long term Mental Health problems. At Breakthru and Freshstart we offer individuals the opportunity to socialise and make friends whilst recovering in health.
The Day Centres provide somewhere safe to mix, to take advantage of a variety of activities or have a quiet cup of tea as you wish. A hot mid-day meal can be provided at a reasonable price. If at any time you feel the need of a sympathetic ear or advice our staff team are always available to listen or to point you in the right direction.
If you would like to be involved there are regular members meetings to air views or make suggestions and a significant proportion of users of our service are on the Board of Directors.
Activities include Information Technology, Art, Cookery, Relaxation and Confidence Building, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Complimentary Therapies, Video/Media Studies, Badminton, Table Tennis, Line Dancing, Keep Fit, Bingo and occasional visiting speakers. Courses can be accessed just for fun or in some cases to work towards qualifications.
