	Questors Theatre is the largest non-professional theatre in the UK, and was founded in 1929. It has a reputation for the highest standards not only in acting, but also in direction and design. The theatre has over 3000 members including 300 actors and a further 350 involved in production and managingall aspects of the theatre. The main playhouse, which was completed in the mid sixties, was the first flexible theatre in the country. A studio theatre was established in the early seventies. There is usually one production in the playhouse and one in the studio every three weeks during the season. The playhouse, studio and supporting facilities are superbly equipped to professional standards.
