Bewdley Museum
Bewdley Museum is situated within the heart of the beautiful town of Bewdley, set on the banks of the River Severn. It has been described as 'the most perfect small Georgian town in Worcestershire.
The Museum itself is an exquisite mix of historical, industrial, geological, and creative collections. Imaginative displays telling the story of Bewdley and the Wyre Forest area, are set within the delightful grade II listed Butchers Shambles, Brass Foundry and Town Gaols.
Seasonal events and exhibitions draw many visitors from near and far, whilst people of all ages and abilities can actively engage in many workshops and activities.
Everyone is enchanted by the Museums gardens, arts, crafts, and delicious food served in the Foundry Cafe. There are many attractions to delight and interest both young and old alike.
The 1940s air raid shelter is very compelling, bringing back poignant memories for some of our visitors. Tours with our Air Raid Wardens surprise and inform all who brave the experience.
